PETALING JAYA: Frustrated housebuyers of Bandar Alam Perdana in Shah Alam will know the status of their abandoned housing project next month. Developer Prime Utilities Berhad executive chairman Datuk Nik Ezar Nik Bolia said the issue will be discussed at the board meeting next week. “We will also decide our next step during the meeting. “Housebuyers will be informed of our decision next month,” said Nik Ezar after a two-hour meeting with a group of house-buyers at his office in Jalan Semangat yesterday. The meeting was organised by the Bandar Alam Perdana house-buyers’ pro-tem committee. The committee wanted to know when their houses would be completed. The project, scheduled for completion in 2002, was abandoned that year. During the meeting, the committee also submitted a memorandum asking the company to explain the status of the project. Nik Ezar clarified that the project was abandoned due to financial problems and shortage of workers. “Since it is 80 per cent complete, we will set a proper platform to settle the problem,” he said. Committee chairman Mohd Jais Abd Rashid said they would wait for the feedback from the company. He also called on other buyers who wish to register with the committee to call him at 019 3695725. |
