SHAH ALAM, SELANGOR, Feb 14 Some 4,000 house buyers of Bandar Alam Perdana can look forward to moving into their new homes now that the landowner LBCN Development Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Prime Utilities Berhad, has moved in to complete the project. | |
However, LBCN Development Sdn Bhd chairman Datuk Nik Ezar Nik Bolia said his company requires 90 per cent of all house buyers to sign a consent letter for them to continue with the project.“So far, only 60 per cent have responded. We need the consent of the remaining housebuyers in order to continue with the project. I urge the rest to come forward so we can start immediately,” he said. Nik Ezar was speaking to reporters after a two-hour dialogue with Bandar Alam Perdana housebuyers’ protem committee at the Sultan Salahudin Abdul Aziz Shah building yesterday. Also present were committee chairman Mohd Jais Abd Rashid and Prime Utilities Bhd director Datuk Mohamed Kamal Hussain. The consent letter, Nik Ezar said, will give the authority to LBCN Development to complete the project and to facilitate the re-opening of bank accounts to collect payment from house buyers. He said the the sales and purchase agreement signed by the buyers is still valid. The mixed housing development project, located in Ijok near Kuala Selangor, came to a halt early last year after its developer Vega Builders Sdn Bhd faced financial difficulties. The development of 1,319 units of terrace houses and 2,500 units five-storey low-cost flats began in 2000 and was scheduled for completion in 2002. Nik Ezar said the terrace hou- ses are 60 to 80 per cent completed while the low-cost flats are 20 to 60 per cent completed. “Contractors will start work next month on the terrace houses and it is expected to be completed by end of this year while the low-cost flats will be completed in stages. “As for the bungalow lots, we are completing the outstanding works estimated at 30 per cent and we will issue title and premium paid within six months,” he said. Nik Ezar urged those who have not received the consent letter to contact 03-79606133 or log on to www.alamperdana.com.my. |
